December 2014

And it’s December! How fast has this year gone?

Since I last blogged on here so much has happened. November was a great month for me for two reasons. Firstly I was part of the Hit Lit Pro authors anthology to support Movember 2014. My story, Curtain Call, was one of nine delicious reads featured in the book.

MoCoverFinalPRI got my husband, Mr Big growing a moustache and holding copies of the book in memory of my granddad who we lost to cancer back in 2005. It’s still available in ebook and paperback and the Kindle copy is just 99p! All profits from the sale of the book go to Movember charities (prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health). Here’s the link to buy.

And then it was straight into NaNoWriMo. If you have no idea what that means it stands for National Novel Writing Month. The aim of the game is to write 50,000 words in 30 days to achieve a first draft of a novel. I got encouraged into this by my good friend and fellow author, Sue Fortin and had no idea what to expect. But, I did it! 50,000 words in just 27 days and I was a proud winner!

Winner-2014-Web-BannerSo I have a novel standing at almost 80,000 words now thanks to a crazy writing fest!

And, as Christmas approaches there is much going on behind the scenes at Lady B Central. I’m hoping to bring you news about the next Mandy Baggot book you can get your hands on very soon!
